2009 Conference

The 2009 Conference on Applied Research in Information Technology sponsored by the Acxiom Laboratory for Applied Research will be held Friday, February 13, 2009 in the Brewer-Hegeman Conference Center on the University of Central Arkansas (UCA) campus. In addition to hosting the Acxiom Collegiate Programming Contest, the 2009 Conference will also feature a special track on Identity Management and Solutions, and Automatic Identification Technologies.


2008 Conference

The 2008 Conference on Applied Research in Information Technology sponsored by the Acxiom Laboratory (ALAR) took place at the University of Central Arkansas, Conway, on March 14, 2008. The Proceedings and the keynote presentation slides are avaliable here.


2007 Conference

The 2007 Conference on Applied Research in Information Technology sponsored by the Acxiom Laboratory (ALAR) took place at the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville, on March 9, 2007.  You may download the 2007 Proceedings from the Publications page of our website.


2006 Conference

The 2006 Conference on Applied Research in Information Technology sponsored by the Acxiom Laboratory (ALAR) took place on the University of Central Arkansas campus on March 3, 2006. Keynote speaker for the 2006 Conference included Steve Tuecke, CEO and Co-Founder of Univa Corporation, who spoke about “Grid Infrastructure - A Foundation for the Next Generation Data Center.”

2005 Conference

Keynote speakers included Dr. Michael Pazzani, Division Director of Information and Intelligent Systems at the National Science Foundation, and Johnie Wood, Director of Security and Audits at J. B. Hunt Transport Services, Inc.

Additional presentations included a wide variety of invited research papers, updates on Acxiom-sponsored research, and lunch discussion groups covering topics on technological advances in radio-frequency identification (RFID), biometric facial recognition, and voice-over Internet protocol (VOIP).
