John Talburt, Ph.D.

John Talburt, PhD, Associate Director of the Acxiom Laboratory for Applied Research, is a Professor of Information Science and Acxiom Chair of Information Quality at UALR. He also serves as the Co-Director of the Acxiom Working Group on Customer-Centric Information Quality Management (CCIQM), a research collaboration with the MIT Information Quality Program. From 1995 to 2005, he was employed by Acxiom Corporation, where he led a number of research and development efforts, and was an inventor on several patents related to Acxiom's family of AbiliTec(R) products for Customer Data Integration (CDI). Dr. Talburt previously served as Professor of Computer and Information Science at UALR from 1983 to 1995, and as Chair of the Department from 1986 to 1993. He holds a PhD degree in mathematics from the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville.
